Drug use is a very real and immediate public health crisis; one that has a devastating impact on working people across many industries and sectors, their families and their communities.

Every year 200,000 Australians are unable to access any form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and/or outreach services.
Not only are the current services dangerously underfunded, but their funding is complex, cyclical and inadequately resourced by state and federal governments.

Join our panel as they discuss the alcohol, tobacco and other drugs sector and how moving out of a “War on Drugs” mentality could save lives, rebuild communities and generate income to our economy.

🔹Paul Healey – Secretary of Health and Community Services Union (Victoria)

🔹David Atkin – CEO of Foundation House (Construction Industry Drug & Alcohol Foundation)

🔹Stephanie Thuesen – Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Progressive Public Health Alliance and Campaign Manager, Labor for Drug Law Reform
